Co-Curricular
Skill Development
Co-Curricular
Co-curricular activities are included during the school hours and not paid separately by the parent. These are handpicked by our leadership team to foster critical thinking, creative problem solving and most importantly learn new skills. PMIS' Co-curricular program is multidimensional which frees the students from conventional boundaries. Co-curricular activities are meant to bring social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality progress, and character appeal to students.
PMIS Music program
At PMIS, we proudly serve as a registered examination center for Trinity College London. Our comprehensive music program is mandatory from Grade 2 onwards, providing students with a strong foundation in essential musical elements such as rhythm (including quarter, half, and whole notes), tempo, pitch, dynamics, and more. Through this program, students not only learn to appreciate and create music but are also prepared to take the prestigious Trinity College Grade exams, ensuring a well-rounded and structured musical education.
Bees
Participating in various Bees at PMIS helps students significantly enhance their vocabulary, enabling them to excel in both reading and writing. A stronger vocabulary not only improves literacy but also fosters a love for reading across diverse materials. Additionally, these activities sharpen reasoning, promote analytical thinking, and encourage practical application of language skills in daily life. The ability to understand and use more words contributes to quicker thinking and better problem-solving abilities.
Robotics
Robotics curriculum in PMIS is complementary to the main syllabus for Grades 3- 7. Robotics is simpler to understand and a more tangible introduction to programming. It gives students the opportunity to address the growing demands of teaching STEM subjects
Art
The Art curriculum at PMIS introduces students to art history from various countries and cultures, inspiring creativity and artistic expression. Through this program, students enhance their motor skills while working with diverse materials, including paint, clay, watercolors, and pencils. This hands-on approach not only fosters artistic skills but also encourages a deeper appreciation for global artistic traditions.
Library
Each classroom at PMIS is equipped with a variety of non-fiction, fiction, and reference books, fostering a love for reading and learning. In addition, our onsite library houses thousands of titles, making it an integral part of every student’s educational journey. Students visit the library weekly, where they explore diverse literary genres and select books to check out, enhancing their reading skills and broadening their horizons.
Sports
Sports involve physical activities and games that require skill, strategy, and competition. Governed by specific rules and regulations, sports can be played individually or in teams and are enjoyed globally. They provide a range of benefits, including enhanced physical fitness, social interaction, personal development, and entertainment. Popular sports such as football (soccer), basketball, baseball, tennis, and cricket each have unique rules and objectives. Sports are categorized into team sports, individual sports, combat sports, water sports, and extreme sports, among others, each offering distinct experiences and challenges.
Swimming
At our school, we believe in providing a comprehensive swimming program right from the beginning of a child's education. Teaching young children to swim teaches them to persevere through challenges and multitask. Swimming can help children learn about situational awareness and their surroundings. It teaches them to socialize and participate in team activities. The earlier a child begins swimming lessons, the better their social skills and test scores will be.
Clubs
Student clubs at PMIS are student-led organizations formed around shared interests and passions. These clubs cover a broad spectrum of topics, including academic subjects, hobbies, cultural activities, and community service. They provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and contribute to the school and community.
